Daycare FAQs

What exactly is dog daycare?

Care for your dog just for the day. You drop your dog off in the morning and pick them up that evening. While at dog daycare, your dog gets to socialize and play with other dogs in a structured and safe environment. It’s a chance for your dog to do dog stuff while you’re off doing human stuff.

What are the play areas like?

All of the play yards have both inside and outside areas complete with everything your pet needs. The inside play yards are climate controlled, and the outside play areas are large artifical turf, with shady areas, playground equipment, and pools in the summer. There are trained staff in every play yard to keep your pet occupied and provide all the exercise and attention they need.

How will my dog spend his/her day while at daycare?

Your dog will spend the day playing and socializing with other dogs in a structured environment. We have a daily schedule that includes playtime and naptime. The dogs are separated into 6 separate groups with other dogs of similar size, temperament, play style, age, etc.

What happens if my dog becomes ill or injured?

Our employees are trained to keep a close eye on all of the dogs and notify a supervisor if anything seems abnormal. We are trained in pet CPR and have several employees with veterinary technician experience. If necessary, we will make every attempt to contact you with all available contact numbers, and if we are unable to reach you we will contact the emergency contact number listed in your file. If the situation is an emergency we will immediately go to a veterinarian for the health and safety of your dog.

Can I bring my dog’s bed and toys?

It is not necessary to bring any toys or beds to daycare.

Do I bring my own dog food?

Unless your dog is on a special feeding program, we suggest you feed your dog before and after daycare.

Do I need to make a reservation?

You do not need to make a reservation for dog daycare.

Do You Offer Puppy Daycare?

Yes, we will accept young puppies into daycare. He/she must have already started their series of vaccinations and you should have a conversation with your vet to understand any risks associated with having your puppy around other dogs before fully vaccinated.

Do you offer daycare on weekends and holidays?

We are open every day of the year with no restricted hours. And the dogs play every day of the year.

Boarding FAQs

What makes you different from a traditional kennel?

All of the dogs that are with us, whether for daycare or overnight boarding, are only in their enclosures for naptime and overnight. Otherwise, they are out in the supervised play areas. In a traditional kennel, dogs are typically in their own enclosure for the duration of their stay. At Dogs All Day, it’s play all day and sleep all night.

Does anyone stay overnight with my dog?

No, we do not stay in the facility overnight. It’s disruptive to the dogs to walk through the sleeping area. The facility is equipped with a security system, fire detection, and webcams throughout. The dogs are tired and sleep better without someone in the facility.

How far in advance do I need to make reservations for boarding?

You may call anytime, even the same day and we will accommodate you if possible. We definitely recommend planning ahead for major holidays as we do fill up pretty quickly.

Can I bring my dog’s bed and toys?

We provide every dog with a raised cot. It isn’t necessary to bring a bed from home but if you do, please make sure it is washable. It is not necessary to bring any toys as they will only have them in their own enclosure and they are typically sleeping at that time. It’s best to leave their prized possessions at home.

Can I bring my own dog food?

We prefer that you bring your dog’s food so they will not have any diet change while you are away. Package each meal in an individual baggy (to ensure we have enough food for their stay and that we feed the correct amount).

What if my dog has medications?

We can administer medications. Please bring them in their original container with the correct dosing instructions.

We can bathe all breeds and sizes of dogs. We do not do cats.

How much will it cost to have my dog groomed?

The price will vary depending on the size of the dog and the current condition of the coat (matted, fleas, etc). We can give you a rough idea over the phone but we will quote a specific price once we see the dog. All grooms include a bath, brush out, nails clipped, ears cleaned and anal glands expressed (if needed).

How far in advance do I need to make reservations for grooming?
